Highland Park Honors Jackie Wilson By Renaming His Childhood Street “Jackie Wilson Lane”

Just off of Woodward Avenue in Highland Park is Cottage Grove Street, where legendary musician Jackie Wilson grew up in the 1940s. On Saturday, Highland Park will officially change the street’s name to “Jackie Wilson Lane.” Longtime Detroit music industry promoter Brian Pastoria talks about Wilson’s groundbreaking career.
