Contemporary Mexican cinema is having a renaissance.

Directors Alfonso Cuarón, Guillermo del Toro, Alejandro Iñárritu, have dominated recent award ceremonies as well as at the box office. 

From now through October, watch some of the very best of Mexico’s contemporary indie films at Cinema Detroit.
